The Printing Needle prints for Southern California bands, solo artists, DJs, podcasters and content creators out of our Garden Grove shop, small merch runs you can afford before the tour, and quick reorders when a design sells out.
Two things separate merch that sells from merch that sits in a bin. First, the blank: fans paying twenty-five or thirty dollars at a merch table notice a cheap, boxy shirt instantly, so we steer artists toward softer retail-fit garments. Second, the feel of the print, a heavy full-front print on a cheap tee feels like a plastic sheet. We use soft-hand plastisol so the shirt stays light and wearable. We print for brands that sell to Macy's, Ross, TJ Maxx, Fashion Nova and PacSun, and for the schools, teams and restaurants down the street. There is no order minimum. For screen printing we suggest 24 pieces or more because the per-piece price drops, but it is a suggestion, never a requirement.
