Water-based ink screen printed custom t-shirt
Soft-Hand Plastisol Inks

Soft-hand plastisol is our standard ink. It gives bold color and great coverage on both light and dark garments, with a smoother, lighter feel than old-school heavy plastisol. Plastisol prints hold up through hundreds of washes without cracking or fading, which makes it the go-to choice for most custom t-shirt orders at our Garden Grove shop.

Soft-Hand Water-Based Inks

Water-based inks soak into the fabric instead of sitting on top, for an ultra-soft, breathable print that feels like part of the shirt. They are a premium option that works best on lighter garments and is popular with Orange County clothing brands and boutiques that want a retail feel.

Spot color screen printing on custom apparel
Discharge Printing

Discharge ink removes the original dye from dark garments and replaces it with your design color. The result is an incredibly soft print that feels like the fabric itself, no ink buildup, no heavy feel. This technique is ideal for dark-colored tees where you want a premium, retail-quality finish. A favorite among Orange County streetwear brands and fashion labels.

Spot Color Printing

Traditional spot color screen printing uses solid, opaque inks, one screen per color, for crisp edges, vibrant saturation, and excellent color accuracy. We use the Pantone Matching System (PMS) to match your exact brand colors. This is the most common method for logos, text-based designs, and corporate branding projects throughout Southern California.

Simulated process screen printing color demonstration
Full Color Process Printing

CMYK process printing uses Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks to recreate full-color artwork. This technique allows us to reproduce photographs, gradients, and highly detailed imagery. It is best suited for designs with complex color transitions and smooth tonal shifts, with careful calibration ensuring accurate color reproduction.

Superior Simulated Results

Simulated process printing recreates full-color artwork using spot colors rather than CMYK. This approach delivers richer saturation and higher opacity, especially on dark garments. It allows us to preserve fine details while maintaining the durability and vibrancy of traditional spot color inks.

Index Color Printing

A specialized separation technique that uses a limited, predefined set of colors represented by square dots of equal size to create the image. Inks are strategically combined to achieve the effect of multiple colors, making it particularly useful for designs with distinct color blocks. Index printing produces vibrant, sharp prints and is especially effective on dark garments where an underbase is crucial for optimal color reproduction and visual impact.

Puff ink raised texture detail on screen printed garment
Luminous Glow Effects

Our phosphorescent inks absorb light and emit a noticeable glow in low-light conditions. These specialty inks are ideal for safety apparel, promotional items, and novelty designs. Once charged under natural or artificial light, they provide hours of glowing effect for added visibility and impact.

Textured Puff Printing

Puff ink expands during the curing process, creating a raised, three-dimensional texture. This technique adds depth and visual interest to logos and text, making designs stand out both visually and physically. Puff printing is popular for athletic wear and statement apparel.

Metallic ink screen printing with reflective finish
Bold High-Density Prints

High-density printing uses a thicker ink application to create a pronounced, dimensional effect. This technique adds weight, texture, and a premium feel to your design. High-density prints are ideal for luxury merchandise and apparel that demands a strong visual impact.

Luxury Metallic Shine

Metallic inks introduce shimmer and reflective highlights to your designs. Available in gold, silver, copper, and other finishes, these inks create eye-catching effects that convey a premium aesthetic. Metallic printing is especially effective for special events, branding pieces, and fashion-forward apparel.

What Affects Your Screen Printing Price

  • Quantity. Each ink color needs its own screen and setup, so the more pieces you print, the lower the price per piece. Screen printing is usually cheapest at 24+.
  • Number of ink colors. A one color logo costs less than a five color design, because every color is its own screen.
  • Print locations. Front, back, sleeve and neck prints are each set up separately.
  • The garment. A basic cotton tee costs less than a premium soft blend, hoodie or jacket. You can also bring your own garments.
  • Dark or light garments. Colored ink on a dark garment usually needs a white base layer under it so the colors pop.
  • Rush. Standard is 5-7 business days after mockup approval. Rush in 3-5 business days or 24-72 hours costs more.

Artwork That Prints Great

  • Vector files work best. AI, EPS, PDF or SVG keep edges sharp at any size.
  • Images are OK too. A PNG at 300 dpi at the size you want printed works well. Photos can be screen printed with halftones.
  • Exact brand colors. We match your colors with the Pantone (PMS) system. Send us your PMS numbers if you have them.
  • Free design help. Only have a blurry logo or a sketch? Our design team cleans it up or recreates it at no charge.
  • Free digital mockup. You see your design on the garment and approve it before anything prints.

Screen Printing or DTF?

Both look great. The right choice mostly comes down to how many pieces you need and how many colors are in your design.

Choose screen printing when

  • You need 24+ pieces. The setup is spread across more shirts, so the price per piece drops.
  • Your design has a few colors. Logos, text and bold graphics look their best.
  • You want the most durable print. Ink is cured into the garment and lasts wash after wash.

Choose DTF when

  • You need a small run. One shirt or a dozen, with no screen setup.
  • Your design is full color. Photos, gradients and lots of colors print in one pass.
  • Every piece is different. Names, numbers or a different design on each shirt.
