What to Expect from Local Custom Embroidery

Embroidery is stitched, not printed, which makes it the right call whenever a garment needs to read as professional. Polos, work shirts, jackets, beanies, and structured caps all hold thread beautifully, and the decoration does not crack, peel, or fade the way a print eventually can. Everything is stitched in our Garden Grove shop, so nothing gets shipped out to a third party and back.

The first step for any new logo is digitizing — converting your artwork into a stitch file that tells the machine the path, density, and order of every stitch. Professional digitizing is what separates a crisp left-chest logo from a lumpy one, and it is a one-time cost. Once your file exists, every future reorder runs straight from it at no additional setup.

Placement matters more than most people expect. Left chest is the default for uniforms and polos, sleeves and cuffs work well for secondary marks, and caps need a design sized for the curved front panel with the seam accounted for. Fine text under about a quarter inch tall tends to lose legibility in thread, so we will flag it and suggest a size that stays readable.

There are no minimums here either. Bring one jacket or three hundred polos. We stock and order from major blank suppliers, so if you have a specific brand, color, or fit in mind we can almost always source it — and if you are a school, church, or nonprofit, ask about our community discount.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is digitizing and do I have to pay for it every time?

Digitizing converts your logo into a stitch file for the embroidery machine. It is a one-time charge per design — all future reorders of the same logo use the saved file with no new setup cost.

Is there a minimum order for embroidery?

No minimums. We embroider single items as happily as bulk uniform orders.

How small can text be embroidered?

We recommend keeping lettering at least a quarter inch tall. Smaller text can stitch out illegibly, so we will suggest adjustments before production.

Can you embroider garments I already own?

Often yes — send us details on the item and we will confirm whether it can be safely hooped and stitched.
