What DTF prints well — and what it does not
Honest version, because getting this wrong is expensive:
- Great for: full-color and photographic art, gradients, small runs, dark and black garments, polyester and performance fabrics, mixed garment types in one order, one-off samples and personalization (names and numbers).
- Not the best choice for: very large volumes of a single simple design — past roughly 50-100 pieces, screen printing gets cheaper per piece and gives a softer hand feel. If you want a print you can barely feel on a 100% cotton tee, ask us about soft-hand plastisol screen printing instead.
- Also consider: DTG for photographic detail on 100% cotton, and embroidery for hats, polos and anything that needs to read as premium.
